Lights go out at Loftus
December 03, 2009 Edition 4
Torrential rain, lightening and a power failure all contributed to the Premier League game between Kaizer Chiefs and AmaZulu being abandoned in the first half at a water-logged Loftus Stadium in Pretoria last night without a goal having been scored.
It was the second flood light failure in little more than a week at a ground which is scheduled to host World Cup games next year.
Match commissioner Stan Swart announced that the date on which the game will be resurrected and replayed had still to be decided by the PSL. Sapa
