R/£ Birthday boy blows bucks

Hip hop star P Diddy spent $3 million (R22.5m) on his 40th birthday party.
He celebrated the landmark day with Jay-Z, Bono, Nelly and Denzel Washington at the Garden of Eden-themed bash held at New York's Plaza Hotel last Thursday.
P Diddy invited 500 people to celebrate with him and treated them to litres of Champagne and Ciroc vodka - which is his own brand of the spirit - and a silver confetti drop. There was also a private performance from gospel singer Al Green.
P Diddy - one of the richest hip hop stars - decorated the venue with an orchid display, a black dance floor and a black chandelier.
A source said: "He really pushed the boat out for this one."
