TV star's troubles the talk of the (Cougar) town

November 25, 2009 Edition 1

Courteney Cox-Arquette has halted filming of her TV show due to a "private family matter".

Production on the comedy drama series Cougar Town has been suspended to give the 45-year-old actress - who has a five-year-old daughter Coco with husband David Arquette - time off to deal with a personal problem.

Show representatives have so far refused to give out any further details.

A spokesperson for the TV network ABC said: "We can confirm production on Cougar Town has been temporarily shut down in order for Courteney to deal with a private family matter."

Courteney stars as single mother Jules Cobb on the show and is also the executive producer.
