Water cuts planned across Joburg

Water cuts have been planned across Johannesburg in December for infrastructure upgrade work, the city's water and sanitation provider said on Friday.

Johannesburg Water said there would be no water in various areas on December 3, 5 and 7.

Areas without water on December 3, between 9am and 4pm, will be Inanda, Sandhurst, Wierda Valley and Chislehurston in Sandton.

On December 5, between 3pm and 5pm, Killarney, Riviera, Saxonwold, Parkwood, Parktown North, Rosebank, Melrose, Melrose Estate, Birdhaven, Houghton Estate, Abbotsford, Athol Oaklands and Oaklands will be affected.

In Midrand, Douglas, Hampton Allan, George, Pitzer, Olifantsfontein, Austin, Graham, King Willow, Cellier, Potgieter, Van Riebeeck and Belvedere in Glen Austin, Halfway House and Randjies Park will not have water on December 7 between 7pm and 5am.
